last update: 09.12.2002 - Mapiso Version 0.1.4 AboutPicture sorter for UNIX with X11 written in Perl/Tk I wrote mapiso just for me, because I needed a tool to help me sort my images to different directories. Mapiso displays all JPEG pictures of a given directory in a window. It's possible to open multiple windows and to copy, cut and paste the pictures with the mouse from one directory to an other. Mapiso is also able to display EXIF infos of a JPEG picture (like timestamp, camera model, focal length, exposure time, aperture, etc.) Mapiso uses the thumbnails generated by mapivi, it's not yet able to generate them himself. Mapivi, mapiso and mapiwe are three tools working together. The idea is to use mapivi to rotate and comment the pictures, mapiso to sort them into albums and mapiwe to generate online picture albums which use and display the embedded comments and EXIF infos.
